Wanderings, Part 1 - Morrisburg

“You fill up the frame with feelings, energy, discovery, and risk,
and leave room enough for someone else to get in there.”

- Joel Meyerowitz, Photographer (b 1938)

For the next few weeks, I anticipate that my blog posts will be shorter than usual. Bill (Link) and I are busy preparing for our upcoming joint exhibit at the John M. Parrott Art Gallery in the Belleville (Ontario) Public Library. The name of the exhibit is HEART & SOUL: Two Men Tell Their Stories. Bill’s glorious quilts and my photographs.

If you’re in Belleville on Thursday evening, November 8, 6:00 – 7:30, please drop by our opening reception! The exhibit closes three weeks later on Thursday, November 29. More about the exhibit in future posts.

In the meantime, I’m posting photos from my recent wanderings.

Today’s photos come from the Morrisburg area in beautiful Eastern Ontario. Bill presented one of his famous ‘backpack shows’ at a local quilting guild and gave a workshop the following day. I tagged along for the ride – and photography!

The photos come from Upper Canada Village, the adjacent Crysler’s Farm historic site and marina, and nearby Williamstown. It was a gloriously sunny, crisp autumn day – perfect for the camera!

Enjoy.
