I make no secret of the fact that I love Toronto – and have done so since I was a kid. Toronto always had that feel of the Emerald City glistening on the horizon with its heady promise of freedom, sophistication, and a whiff of danger, even when I lived here for almost thirty years. Some cities are more beautiful and some are more visionary, but when I want to experience the diversity of our planet in an amped-up microcosm, I come to Toronto.

And that’s exactly what I’m doing this week – having a totally indulgent week in Airbnb digs on McCaul Street near the Art Gallery of Ontario. It’s an incredible opportunity to hone my urban photography skills while catching up with family and friends.
