“Colour provokes a psychic vibration.
Colour
hides a power still unknown but real,
which acts on every part of the human
body.”
- Wassily Kandinsky, Russian Painter, 1866-1944
A celebration of colour today! As winter
approaches in the Northern Hemisphere, I think it’s imperative that we feed our
souls with vibrant displays of colour. In the endless grey of late autumn,
search out the colours that defy the calendar! Seek them everywhere! And keep
reminding yourself that the days will start getting longer in less than two
weeks!
Wassily
Kandinsky knew a thing or two about both the long, dreary days of a Russian
winter and the vibrant power of colour. Check out this YouTube video to get
your daily dose of Kandinsky's healing colour. (Sorry that the image quality isn't better.)
Which
brings me to the photos below: despite the fact that they were recorded
on dull November days, they each exert a dynamic sense of colour. I hope they
provide you with an energetic boost to your emotional and physical immune
systems. Enjoy!
