The title
of today’s blog posting comes from Dylan Thomas’ “Poem in October”.
Here’s an
excerpt:
My birthday
began with the water-
Birds and
the birds of my winged trees flying my name
Above the
farms and the white horses…
And there
could I marvel my birthday away…
O may my
heart’s truth
Still be
sung
On this
high hill in a year’s turning.
Today (August
28) is my 70th birthday. My dear husband, Bill, has been spoiling me
rotten all week, as has been my wonderful friend Susan A. from British Columbia.
She has spent the last few days with us and accompanied me on several
photographic expeditions to Kingston, Prince Edward County, and Hastings
County. What a pleasure it has been sharing my photography with her.
Here are a
few of the 700+ images I recorded over the last few days. What a great way to
celebrate a birthday!
Enjoy.
